In May 2014, we will have the chance to shape the future of Europe. In this election, where will the priorities lie for ALDE in the areas of energy and environment? Join us at this business lunch where Mr Davies will give a keynote speech on the ‘ALDE key Environment & Energy priorities’ which will be followed by a moderated Q&A session.

Chris Davies has been the Liberal Democrat MEP for North West England since 1999 and is the ALDE Environment co-ordinator in the Parliament.  He is a former leader of the UK Liberal Democrat MEPs.

Before being elected to the European Parliament, Chris was a member of the British House of Commons having won a memorable by-election in the Pennine seat of Littleborough and Saddleworth in 1995.

During his time in Brussels Chris has made a reputation as a campaigner on climate change, animal welfare and fisheries issues while his political campaigning covers a range of hot button social issues such as medically assisted dying and drug legalisation.
