This training-style event offers essential skills for Advocacy and Political Communication professionals. Tom will give a presentation on his professional experience which will then be followed by a moderated Q&A session.

Founder and Chairman | Cambre Assosciates

Tom is founder and Chairman of Cambre Associates, an award-winning Public Policy and Corporate Affairs consultancy - Cambre is part of SEC Newgate a global network of agencies specialising in communications, advocacy, and research. Tom is a Member of the SEC Newgate Board and its Deputy Chief Executive.

With over 20 years of experience, Tom has extensive knowledge of European public policy and the wider corporate affairs environment. Having worked for independent consultancies for over two decades, he has spent a considerable amount of time building relationships across business and political communities around the globe.

Tom advises governments, industry associations and blue-chip companies. Recent clients include: WL Gore, IKEA, European Cancer Organisation, Medtronic & Morocco Foodex. With a degree in Envrionmental Science and a Postgraduate diploma in Law he lectures on EU affairs and political communications. Tom founded Cambre around the concept Advocacy 3.0, and is an active commentator on EU politics, policy and Brexit in the media.

Tom is President of the British Chamber of Commerce EU & Belgium (BCCB). Prior to this appointment he chaired the BCCB’s Special Taskforce on the UK EU Referendum, led its UK-EU Future Relations Working Group and was Chair of its EU Committee.
