Every five years citizens of the European Union decide who will be the new Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). At this important moment for European Parliament election, we invite to join us for a new session of Lunch & Learn – Election series, focusing on the European People’s Party (EPP) campaign. We are glad to welcome Roland Freudenstein, Head of Research and the Deputy Director of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, the political foundation and official think tank of the EPP.

Roland Freudenstein will give an overview of 2014’s election dynamics and strategies, and a deep understanding of the EPP campaign strategy. Mr Freudenstein was previously Head of Foreign and European Affairs with the Berlin Office and Director of the Warsaw Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundatio. He was also a member of the planning staff for Foreign and Security Policy of the European Commission. He studied political science, Japanese studies, economics and international relations in Bonn and Los Angeles and has published on international security, Central Europe and German foreign policy. As Head of Research, he has contributed to debates and published extensively on European integration, international security, and global democracy.
