David Mundell is the UK Secretary of State for Scotland and a Conservative MP for the Westminster Constituency of Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale & Tweeddale. He served as an MSP until he was first elected for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale at Westminster in 2005, where he was returned with a majority of 9,441 at the 2017 General Election. Since the 2015 election returned a majority Conservative Government, David has served in David Cameron and Theresa May's Cabinet's as the Secretary of State for Scotland. David was honoured to be asked to take on this role by the Prime Minister on both occasions and is committed carrying out his responsibilities as a Government Minister alongside his constituency duties.
