The 2nd edition of the “Brussels Distribution Conference” (BDC), the bi-annual review of the most recent developments in the commercial distribution sector, will be held at the Palais des Académies on October 1st 2015.
We are happy to offer a 20% discount to British Chamber members. To receive your discount code, please contact Francesca Loparco.
The BDC provides a platform for the exchange of views between the different stakeholders in commercial distribution. It will unite a panel of prominent practitioners (professors, lawyers accountants and corporate counsel) to discuss legal, economic and accounting aspects of commercial distribution (franchise, agency, distribution) from both national and international perspectives.
Vice Premier and Belgian Federal Minister of Employment, Economy and Consumers Mr Kris Peeters will open the morning plenary, and there will be an opportunity to question him about government initiatives that can be expected in the next months, including in the hospitality sector (and with regard to brewery contracts).
Other prominent speakers include regulators (the President of the Belgian Competition Authority, members of the European Commission’s services) and representatives of the business community (ING, Fiduciaire Pardoen, Bières de Chimay, ACCOR, Carrefour, ERA, …).
Continuing Education – Accreditation by the OVB/OBFG, IGO-IFJ, IEC-IAB & BIBF-IPCF
Legal or accounting professionals who participate in the BDC will gain 6 points or 6 hours respectively towards fulfilment of their continuing education requirements. Accreditation has also been requested for magistrates and mediators.
