We know you’ve closely followed the European Elections and analysing its impact on EU policy in the next mandate. We have invited Mr. Klaus Welle, who has been Secretary General of the European Parliament for the last ten years, to share with you an overview of his tenure and reflect on the evolution of the European Parliament’s role and impact.

Here are some of the questions that this event will look to answer:

• What were the key takeaways from the 8th parliamentary term and what challenges lie ahead?
• What can we already conclude from the 2019 elections and what should we expect from the 9th term?
• What is the relationship between Parliament and other EU institutions?
• What is the process to elect the next European Parliament President?
