Join us for an Industrial Competitiveness Task Force Briefing with Karin Nienstedt and Laura Fabrizi, discussing the European Commission’s science-based criteria for endocrine disruptors and its implementation.


Dr. Karin Nienstedt is a policy officer at the European Commission, in the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, Unit E4 Pesticides and Biocides. Her background is in biology and crop protection. She joined the European Commission in 2010, after working as scientific officer in the secretariat of EFSA’s PPR Panel. Previously she was Group Leader for Terrestrial Ecotoxicology in a GLP certified contract laboratory and consultancy.

 

Dr. Laura Fabrizi joined the European Commission in 2009, where she is a policy officer at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, Unit E4 Pesticides and Biocides. She graduated in Chemistry at the University of Rome, received fellowships from the Italian Association for Research on Cancer and worked as a researcher in toxicology at the Italian National Institute of Health and at the Imperial College of London. She is author of several international publications in the field of food chemistry and toxicology.
