Join us for a breakfast briefing with Counsellor Jan Krak, dealing with operational programme transport and TEN-T network to discuss the general overview in the Priorities of the Slovak Presidency in Transport followed by a session of Q&A.

Jan Krak has been the transport attaché, dealing with road, maritime, inland waterway transport and European transport networks at the Permanent Representation of Slovakia to the EU since 2012.

 

Prior to working at the Permanent Representation of Slovakia to the EU, Mr Krak was the State Counsellor (1998-2000), Transport Attaché (Brussels, 2000-2004), Director of Strategy Department (2004-2010), General Director for EU Affairs and International Relations (2010 – 2012) at the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic.

 

Mr Krak’s main activities and responsibilities included:

 

·         Strategy Department – coordination of conceptual documents (Transport Policy of the Slovak Republic till 2015, various transport policy documents related to public transport, intelligent transport systems and Strategy for Transport Development until 2020)

·         EU Affairs and International Relations – coordination of Slovak transport policy towards EU, monitoring of implementation of EU acts into Slovak legal system, etc.

Before working at the Slovak Perm Rep to the EU, Mr. Jan Krak was the Acting General Director of Transport Policy Division of Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic and by Mr. Marian Hoffer, Director of Toyota Motor Slovakia
