Mr Henrik Hololei, Director-General for Mobility and Transport in the European Commission will give us an overview of the DG Move Agenda, with a focus on the Clean Mobility Package.


Director General, DG MOVE | European Commission

Henrik Hololei has been working at the European Commission since 2004, he was appointment Director-General for Mobility and Transport in October 2015. Prior to this he completed nine years as Head of Cabinet to Commissioner and Vice-President Siim Kallas, both under his first mandate (2004-2010) of Administration, Audit and Anti-Fraud, and second (2010-2013) of Transport. He started his career in 1993 at the Finnish Foreign Trade Association. He then went to work for the Estonian Government in Tallin, where he held several positions between 1995 and 2003 including: Director of the Office of European Integration, Chief Government Counsellor of EU Affairs and Minister of the Economy between 2001 and 2002. During his career he has been awarded with the Grand Cross of the Lion of Finland; the 3rd Class Order of the White Star by the President of Estonia; and the Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite by the President of France. In May of 2014, the Estonian European Movement named Mr Hololei the ‘European of the Year’. Mr Hololei is qualified as an economist, completing his masters in Economics at Tallinn Technical University after having completed a degree at Aarhus University in Political Science and International Economy.
