We are pleased to announce that Mr Martin Bailey, Head of Unit Digital Policy Development & Coordination at DG CONNECT, has agreed to speak to our members about the work programme of DG CONNECT, their plans for the future, and how these have changed as a result of Covid-19.

This event is a replacement for the webinar previously confirmed with Ms Claire Bury for Wednesday 24th June.


Head of Unit F1, DG CONNECT | European Commission

Martin was educated in England, Germany and the Netherlands.

He worked as a lawyer for an international law firm in London for five years before joining the European Commission in 2003. Back now in the Commission after a stint at the European Court of Justice, he has worked principally in the fields of single market and competition law, technology and economic regulation.

Martin speaks English, French, German and Spanish. His interests including acting, cooking, winter sports and mountain-biking.

This event is held under the Chatham House Rule.
