With the upcoming changes on Smart Borders, Rob Rozenburg, Head of Unit Information Systems for Borders and Security DG HOME, will discuss what to expect in regards to Smart Border legislation.

Mr Rozenburg will provide a short intervention which will be followed by a moderated Q&A session. We will also welcome participants to make suggestions for future event ideas.

Rob Rozenburg studied Political Science and International Law at the University of Amsterdam. After an initial career in a Dutch NGO and in the private sector he joined the European Commission in 1994, where he since then worked in several positions in the area of trade, external relations, development and home affairs. Mr. Rozenburg is currently the Head of Unit 'Information Systems for Borders and Security' in the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs.
