As Finland's Presidency of the Council of the EU will start on the 1st of July, we thought it would be timely to hear their priorities and what they are aiming to achieve in terms of EU transport policy.

Mervi Kaikkonen, Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Finland to the EU, will shed light on this topic of the Finnish Presidency at this lunch briefing.


Transport Counsellor | Permanent representation of Finland to the EU

Mervi Kaikkonen has been working in the Finnish Permanent Representation for three years concentrating on road transport, shipping, digitalisation and climate issues in transport. Her professional background is in transport sector and she was directing the EU law unit at the Finnish Transport Safety Agency before moving to Brussels. Mervi has a law degree in Finland and in France and specialised in EU law during her studies.
