Following on from our event before summer with David McAllister MEP, we are delighted to welcome Green MEP Anna Cavazzini to give her views on the UK-EU FTA negotiations and the prospects of a comprehensive future relationship. Anna is an active member of the European Parliament's committee on international trade (INTA), as well as a shadow rapporteur on the recommendations on the negotiations for a new partnership with the UK.

The discussion will centre on similar themes to our July webinar with Mr McAllister, but with the entirely different perspective of a Green MEP this is surely not one to miss!

MEP | European Parliament

Anna Cavazzini is a German member of the European Parliament for the Greens/EFA group. She represents constituencies in Saxony and Saxony-anhalt, neighbouring the Polish and Czech borders. In the Parliament, she is working in the International Trade Committee, and in the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee. She is the Vice chair of the Parliament's Brazil delegation, and has a specific interest in Central and Latin America. She co-leads the German Green delegation. Anna focuses on changing trade policy to make it fair and sustainable, including by ensuring that trade agreements are fully compatible with the Greens Deal and its aims. She also works to build a circular economy within and beyond the EU. Before being elected, Anna worked at the UN on the Sustainable Development Goals, in the German Foreign Ministry and in several NGOs. She holds degrees in European Studies and International Relations.
