FRC Coordindation Meeting

For the first time in years, the UK-EU relationship is no longer the headline and front page of every news outlet in Europe. However as yet there has been no indication from either side that an extension is being considered, and as a result we know that the business community is still concerned as to what the future may hold. In order to shed some light on this, our next Future Relations Committee meeting will be held as a video conference on Wednesday 25th March, at 16:00 CET.

Economic Update: Brexit and possibly beyond

Suren Thiru, chief economist for British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), London, will give a briefing on what’s happening to Britain’s international trade.

EU-Canada Relations and the Implementation of CETA

Relations between the EU and Canada are now stronger than ever before, largely due to the new trading ties created by CETA. The implementation of this ambitious FTA has not even been fully completed, yet trade between the EU and Canada is already up by an average of 12%. In order to discuss this new relationship with our members, we were delighted to welcome Stéphane Lambert from the Mission of Canada to the EU.
