Greta Agius

Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU

Greta Agius joined the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU as a Competitiveness and Growth (Internal Market) Attaché in June 2010, covering dossiers relating to the following subject matters: internal market and services, public procurement, professional qualifications, intellectual property and copyright. During the Maltese Presidency Greta will be a chair of competitiveness and growth (internal market) working party. Prior to joining the Permanent Representation, Greta worked as an associate lawyer within law firms: Simon Tortell and Associates (2009-2010), and Hugh Peralta and Associates (2007-2009) working mainly in civil law, commercial law and in litigation. She also worked as a legal advisor within the Malta Communications Authority (2006-2007) working in telecommunications, competition law and e-commerce. She holds a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta (2005) and an MA Contemporary European Studies (University of Sussex) (2006).
